True Confession #1

True Confession… I have been on a diet for at least 20 years… minus the 3 years I spent being pregnant. I have made more “lose this many pounds by this date” goals than what seems like stars in the galaxy at this point:) The goal usually starts on a Monday and then turns to at least one binge by Sunday. If you have heard of a diet I have most likely been on it at least once:) It has been one week since the start of the new year and I am happy to say that I have kept one of my most important New Years resolutions which is TO NOT GO ON A DIET and to not let what the scale says rule my life anymore. I have said no to doing things I love thinking I would get back to it next week or next month when I weighed a little less too many times. This week I ran 15 miles (not on the same day), hiked to the Needles Lodge at Snowbasin twice(once during the beautiful full moon and once this morning), and I used my new Rower and loved it! I have no idea how much I weigh today for the first time in forever and I haven’t looked at how many calories are in something all week! I am replacing not being on a diet with getting out to do the things I love with the people I want to spend time with as much as possible. This is me:)
